Chest pain is discomfort or pain that one can feel anywhere along the front of ones body between neck and upper abdomen.

According to Ayurvedic view chest is the main place of cough so coughs problems occur more here i.e. secretion of cough, obstructions in blood vessels

(coronary artery).Many people with chest pain fear a heart attack. However, there are many possible causes of chest pain . Any organ or tissue in chest can be the source of pain, including heart, lungs, esophagus, muscles, ribs, tendons, or nerves. One cause of chest pain is angina which results from inadequate oxygen supply to the heart muscle. Angina can be caused by coronary artery disease or spasm of the coronary arteries. Chest pain can also be due to a heart attack (coronary occlusion) and other important diseases. Do not try to ignore chest pain it can be a warning to seek medical attention. Internal chest injury (urahkshata) is important cause of chest pain.
