Karanja also know as Pongamia Glabra is
commonly found herb in India. The oil
extracted from seeds of Karanja has properties
similar to Neem oil. It is used as
antiseptic, antiphrastic and cleansing agent.
The oil is also used in the manufacturing of
soaps and in the treatment of skin diseases.
According to Ayurveda the oil is useful
in treating biliousness, eye ailments,
itch, leucoderma, rheumatism, skin diseases,
worms, and wounds.
