Ringing in ear is medically known as Tinnitus. The word tinnitus has derived from the Latin word tinnire that means "to ring." This medical condition is very common and not a disease in itself but usually a symptom that can be occured by a number of medical conditions. It can be the result of of age-related hearing loss, ear injury, or any disease of circulatory system. It can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain and is often accompanied by hearing loss. Some possible cause for tinnitus include hearing loss, over exposure to loud noise, long term use of certain medicines, allergies, tumors, and problems in the

heart and blood vessels, jaws, and neck. Symptoms of tinnitus include annoying sensation of hearing sounds in ear such as ringing, buzzing, roaring, whistling or hissing, hearing loss.
