Day 01: Delhi
In the midnight arrive in Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be met by
our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Bhubaneshwar (by air)
In the
morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Bhubaneshwar.
Upon arrival in Bhubaneshwar, you will be met by
our representative and transferred to the hotel. In the
afternoon visit Parasurameshwara, Mukteshwar, Raja Rani and
Ligaraja Temples.
Day 03: Bhubaneshwar
After having breakfast you will visit Hirapur Yogini Temple,
bell metal village, Dhauli Stupa, Khandagiri, Udaigiri caves
and Nadan Kannan.
Day 04: Bhubaneshwar - Chilika Lake - Gopalpur on Sea
After breakfast you will drive to Chilika Lagoon and cruise to
birds Island and Kalijai Temple. Later drive to Gopalpur on sea
and visit fishermen villages.
Day 05:
Gopalpur on Sea - Rayagada
(about 250 kms.)
In the morning drive to Rayagada. On the route visit South
Orissan villages, Hot Sulphur spring of Taptapani, Tibetan
Pagoda at Chandragiri and Saora and Kondh tribe villages.
Day 06: Rayagada
In the morning visit primitive villages of Dongaria tribe in
Niyamgiri Hill and watch tribal dance in village and later
visit Dukum Desia Kondh tribal market and Agaria tribe villages
who are famous for making metal jewellery for other tribes.
Day 07:
Rayagada - Jeypore
After breakfast visit Chatikana, the weekly market of Dongariya
Kondhs and later drive back to the hotel. After lunch proceed
to Jeypore. On the route visit Ornamental Parajas tribe.
Day 08:
Jeypore
Early morning drive to the Onukadalli weekly market of Bondo,
Gadaba and Didayi tribe. Bondos are the most primitive tribes
of Orissa which live in the Bondo hills. They speak Remo
language, which comes under Austro-Asiatic language and belongs
to Mundari group. The Bondos use scanty clothes to cover their
body. The dress of a Bondo woman is known as Ringa which is
about 2 feet length. It is striped and coloured cloth tied to
the waist thread. They also use beautiful brass and aluminum
necklaces and hundreds of bead necklaces to cover their beauty.
Later visit the villages of Baro Gadaba like Gotalpara,
Kangrapada etc.
Day 09: Jeypore
In the morning visit the largest tribal market at Kunduli of
Sana Paraja and Mali tribe. Later, drive back to the hotel.
After lunch visit the Nuagaon tribal market and Kotpad tribal
textile village. In the evening drive back to the hotel.
Day 10: Jeypore
After breakfast drive to Gupteswara areas to visit villages of
Dhuruba Gond tribe near river Saberi bordering Orissa and
Chhattisgarh. Later visit weekly market of Dhruba and Paraja
tribe at Baligaon. In the evening drive back to the hotel.
Day 11:
Jeypore - Rayagada
After having breakfast drive to Rayagada.
Day 12:
Rayagada - Taptapani
After breakfast visit the primitive Lanjia Saora tribe market
and villages with traditional religious painting inside the
houses. Watch their guar dance in the afternoon. Later drive to
Taptapani.
Day 13:
Taptapani - Puri (about 200 kms.)
After breakfast drive to Puri. On the route visit Olasing
textile village and traditional Brahmin villages with local
folk dance.
Day
14: Puri
After breakfast drive to Konark and visit world famous Sun
temple of Konark and fishermen village of Chandrabhaga. In the
afternoon visit Jagannatha temple and beach market in Puri.
Day 15: Puri
- Bhubaneshwar - Delhi (by air)
In the morning drive to Ratnagiri and Udayagiri to see ancient
Buddhist ruins. After visiting the caves drive to Bhubaneshwar
airport for the flight to Delhi. In the late evening arrive in
Delhi.
Day 16: Delhi
Around midnight transfer to the airport for the flight to home
destination.
