Day
01 Mumbai
Around
midnight arrival in Mumbai. The cosmopolitan city Mumbai
(formerly known as Bombay) is the main gateway for
travelers to
India.
Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and second biggest
city of India. Upon arrival, you will be met by our
representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02 Mumbai
After
having breakfast we will go for half day sightseeing tour
of Mumbai including the visit to Gateway of India and
other popular places. Rest of the day for shopping. Mumbai
is known as fashion hub of India, you can buy anything
from traditional clothing to latest designer clothes from
Mumbai. Mumbai also offer an exceptional collection of
antiques, jewellery and wooden articles.
A visit to
fashion house or a crafts unit can be arranged as per your
interest. |

Day 03 Mumbai – Hyderabad (by Air)
In the morning transferred to Airport for flight to Hyderabad,
the capital of Andhra Pradesh known as city of love and joy!
Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. After a break in
hotel, we will go for shopping tour of the city. Hyderabad
also known as Pearl City, exhibits an extensive range of
cultured pearls and beautiful pearl jewellery. It is also
famous for bangles, bidriware work (a type of surface
ornamentation metalwork where one metal is inlaid or overlaid
on another) and fine Kat saris. We will visit the
manufacturers and wholesalers of these items and have a
glimpse of manufacturing techniques along with making
purchases. |

Day 04 Hyderabad
Today
after having breakfast, we drive to visit the impressive
fort at Golconda. This fort is entered through gateways
which have relief ornamentation of birds and animals. The
Fateh Darwaza or Victory Gate is made of teak with an
engraved Hindu deity studded with iron spikes. Within the
ramparts lie the mosques, temples, the three storeyed
armory, the harem, the Hall of Public Audience and the
Rani Mahal with the royal baths. After visiting the
Golconda fort we visit the Qutb Shahi Tomb. Each tomb is
made of black granite or green stone with fine sculpture,
inscriptions and remains of glazed decoration. Overnight
stay at hotel.

Day 05 Hyderabad – Bangalore (by Air)
In the
morning transfer to the airport for flight to Bangalore,
the capital of
Karnataka
State, known as the garden city. Upon arrival, meet and
transfer to the hotel. After a break in hotel, we will go for
shopping. Bangalore offers a delightful shopping experience
with its exquisite silk, sandalwood, rose wood handicrafts and
furniture and exclusive gold jewelry. The most favored among
these are sandalwood and rose wood handicrafts and furniture.
Sandal wood is native to the deciduous forests of Karnataka
and intricate carving in sandal wood is age old practice in
Karnataka. This art has been practiced by expert artisans for
over 1000 years who handed down the skill to generations. We
will visit manufacturing unit of sandal wood handicrafts where
you can observe the artisans at work along with making
purchases. |

Day 06 Bangalore
Today
after breakfast we will visit the garden city with its
numerous avenues of Jacaranda, Gulmohar and Cassia. We
will visit the Bull temple and the famous Gowda Fort. The
Bull teample was built in the Dravidian style of
architecture and has a huge Nandi Bull carved out of a
single grey granite. The famous Gowda Fort was built by
Tipu Sultan. We will also visit the Vidhana Saudha and
downtown commercial centre. This Vidhana Saudha, which is
built after independence, stands out by its imposing
architecture in the neo Dravidian style. Rest of the day
at leisure.

Day 07 Bangalore – Chennai (by Air)
In the morning transfer to the airport for flight to Chennai,
capital of Tamil Nadu and the fourth largest metropolis in
India. After a break in hotel we will go for shopping. Tamil
Nadu, is world-famous for its fine South Indian silk,
embroidered silk sarees, hand-woven garments and handicrafts
items. You will find several beautiful brass, stone, wood and
ivory goods ornamented with exquisite stone carvings.
Kanchipuram silk sarees are simply irresistible and a must
buy. We will make visit to a handicraft unit and Kanchipuram
silk sari manufacturer to observe the production of these
items along with making purchases. |

Day 08 Chennai
Today
we will have sight seeing tour of the city. We will
visit the Fort of St. George, High Court,
Fort
Museum,
Marina Beach and Snake Park and the St. Mary's church.
The British built the Fort of Saint George in the 17th
century. The Saint Mary's church was the first English
church in India. Rest of the day at leisure. After
dinner, transfer to airport for onwards journey. |
