Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and one of the officially recognized state languages in India.  Muslim population residing in different countries commonly use Urdu in their everyday y communication. There are about 61to 80 million native speakers of language and in total 160 million people around the world speaks it. Urdu is spoken in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Germany, USA, Iran, Afganistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Maledives, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, South Africa, Oman, Canada, Australia, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Kenya, Libya, Malawi, Botswana, and United Kingdom. Outside South Asia, it is spoken by large numbers of migrant South Asian workers in the major urban centers of the Persian Gulf countries and Saudi Arabia. Urdu is also spoken by large numbers of immigrants and their children in the major urban centers of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Norway and Australia.
